I want to move our most needy and vulnerable people from a place of state dependency to

From a very simple upbringing in ‘the sticks’ up North to the hustle and bustle of the big city, life has taken many turns over the past 40 years for me. Coming from a rural background to urban living has taught me that the only constant in life is change. 10 years in the NZ Police, 20 years of community volunteering to owning my own business with my wife and providing consultation to numerous companies and CEO’s across the North Island - yeah, I think I've done ok.

The greatest influences on my life have been my whānau, amazing mentors and leaders and a life of dedication to the church and my relationship with Jesus Christ. I am passionate about Te Reo and Tikanga Māori and the constant pursuit of living and being my personal best in everything I do.

I love Aotearoa and it’s people tāngata whenua and tāngata tiriti. I want to protect and preserve its uniqueness and beauty so my tamariki and mokopuna can share those experiences I had growing up here. As Māori and as Kiwis we are blessed to have this taonga and to live in this paradise we call home - Aotearoa New Zealand.
