Climate Change and Human Causation
Many people are cautious about the connection between climate change and human causation. Recently I came across a narrated slideshow on the economic impacts of climate change in NZ on the New Zealand Institute website. It also contains some useful information on the issue of human causation. I highly recommend it as a resource. See link at bottom.
Slide Show Title - "THE ECONOMICS OF CLIMATE CHANGE FOR NEW ZEALAND " (May 2007)
Slide 6 - title "THE IPCC report reveals scientific consensus of altered environment due to human activity "
Slide 8 - shows the impact of climate changes on different parts of the world
Slide 18 - shows that while NZ's overall contribution to global emissions is low, our per capita emissions are comparatively high
Concluding paragraph - "It is important that New Zealand develops a robust, well-understood strategy to guide and prioritise actions, and which gives a clear sense of how New Zealand is seeking to position itself in the context of considerable uncertainty about the economic impact of climate change ".
